Lumiere Sisters

I’ve already expressed my dissatisfaction with aspects of ONCE UPON A TIME… IN HOLLYWOOD. Daniel Riccuito of The Chiseler had a very nearly opposite response, however, and when he asked me to provide a few words for a piece he was putting together along with Tom Sutpen, connecting the reincarnated Sharon Tate played by Margot Robbie with the reincarnated Laura Palmer played by Amanda Seyfried in Twin Peaks, I cheerily agreed.

The result, as Freddie Jones is always saying, is plain to see…

Optic Nervousness

I’m one of several contributors, with Daniel Riccuito, Jennifer Matsui and Tom Sutpen, to another piece over at The Chiseler — a collaboration where even I can’t tell which parts I wrote. Points to anyone who identifies a Cairns sentence correctly. I may not be the idiosyncratic genius we always thought — or maybe Daniel, Jennifer and Tom are too? Yes, I prefer that explanation.

I won’t say what it’s about — you may have to decide for yourself. But I will say that it’s here.

The Winter edition of Cineaste has arrived at the Shadowplayhouse. Have you got yours?

Maybe you should — this splendid mag contains an article about pre-code state-of-the-nation address HEROES FOR SALE, written by Daniel (The Chiseler) Riccuito, Tom (If Charlie Parker Were a Gunslinger…) Sutpen, and yours truly. One of the most pleasant collaborations I’ve experienced, and one we’re all preparing to repeat ASAP.
