Natalie Wood,

Christmas sloth — I don’t usually go in for lists, but this IS the season for such things, and every now and then one feels like relaxing one’s standards. Plus, this might serve a valuable purpose, particularly if you have illicit access to movies via the internet, or a large heap of unwatched movies you’re having trouble choosing from —

Have yourself a scary little Christmas

Noch pered Rozhdestvom 1913 from David Cairns on Vimeo.

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, as envisioned by Wladislaw Starewicz, master of roadkill prestidigitation. Might not be suitable for very small children, unless they’re really good ones. The ordinary variety would probably just disintegrate under the strain.

Only a tiny bit of animation in this one, by way of visual effects, but plenty of impressive fantastical physical effects, makeup, and festive imagery ~

Satan’s little helper.

Also: a creepy Christmas limerick, and another two, even creepier. Scout around the site and you’ll find even more from the King of the Fractured Limerick, Hilary Barta. Happy Holidays!
