The new edition of The Forgotten, over at The Daily Notebook, again takes its subject from the recent retrospective “After the Wave,” from the 2010 Edinburgh Film Festival, curated by Niall Greig Fulton. Michael Apted’s acidly squalid thriller THE SQUEEZE, with career-redefining grit from Stacy Keach (pictured), David Hemmings, Stephen Boyd, and others. Best viewed through a gas mask, with antibiotics.
Propulsive plotting worthy of Lang, and a score that’s somehow even seedier and more exciting than THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY. Maybe we’ve only just become desensitized enough to enjoy this film!
