Dog for dinner? Again?

Why is Philippe Noiret shooting (and eating) a domestic pet? And why does he wear his hat at the dinner table? It’s disgusting.

These and other questions are studiously ignored over at the Auteurs’ Notebook, where this week’s edition of The Forgotten takes aim at CLERAMBARD, a 1969 slice of oddness from director Yves Robert. It’s a formal affair, so bring appropriate headgear.

Another Duvivier retrospective! Since I went to the one in New York, and since this one’s just across the water in Paris, and since a chunk of it coincides with my Easter break, maybe I should go?
