    Four things have always puzzled me about Britt Ekland’s role in THE WICKER MAN –

    1 – Her voice was dubbed by a Scottish actress.

    2 – A body double was used for her nude scenes.

    3 – Almost all her scenes take place in the nude.

    4 – So what, if anything, did she actually do?!

    Answers on a (very small) postcard, please.

    Her voice was dubbed, I believe, by the almighty Annie Ross.

    TWO body doubles were used for her nude scenes, a Soho stripper whose movement were judged too “bump-n-grind” by the filmmakers, and a local lass who did it anonymously in terror of being rumbled by her parents.

    But that’s just for the rear views: “I have a backside like a ski-slope,” protested Britt, mysteriously (smooth and white, or bent upwards at the end?). Britt bared her own splendid britts for the frontal shots.

    THAT’S what she did.
