The Octobering

Well, the first Halloween on Shadowplay can’t go by unrecognised, but I hate all this unseasonal haste — the shops have Christmas and Halloween stuff side by side, and kids are setting off fireworks in Leith long before November Fifth, so I’ve held back until the week leading up to All Hallows’ Eve as a mark of the restraint and fundamental decency expected of this blog.

  2. David C., you’ll have to let us know where all these frames come from. With your blog it’s like Halloween 365 days of the year, orange against black. That frame at the bottom looks Damn Weird.

  3. It IS. And it will be the subject of my next post.

Top image is maestro Bava’s Hercules in the Haunted World.
Second is the late Hazel Court in Corman’s Masque of the Red Death.
David E is of course correct about image 3.

  4. You sure know how to pick ’em.

  5. It’s a wild one, number 4 — check it out.
