Perhaps he and Manoel de Oliveira should mark the occasion with an all-star epic starring Gloria, Luise Rainer, the de Havilland sisters (never in the same scene) and Danielle Darrieux?

Gloria appears not to have a mean bone in her body as seen in the interaction with Kate. I remember Gloria on the Charlies Rose Show saying that she was even prepared to take her clothes off for the part!

Now, that is somebody who really deserves an Academy Life Achievement Award.
