Or do I mean, “If Robert Ludlum wrote WC Fields movies”? The great thing about Ludlum is that all his titles follow the same pattern, Definite Article, Proper Name and Serious-Sounding Noun. Eventually he just started doing Bourne sequels to save himself half the trouble with each book (the actual words inside each book? No trouble at all). So, even though nobody’s realized it yet, The Poseidon Adventure, The Smithsonian Institute and The Mary Tyler Moore Show are all Robert Ludlum novels.
